Meet the College Fashion Society of Lady Irwin.
Lady Irwin College has been renowned for distinction in work related to Communications. In addition to the annual festival namely Quintessence, the students association also holds elections and a talent contest amongst other events. Like most other colleges it has numerous societies engaging in a whole variety of activities throughout the year.
‘Prophecy’ is the college fashion society of Lady Irwin College, Delhi. ‘Prophecy’ is a Latin word meaning ‘Pride.’ Team Prophecy comprises of 12 young girls is like a small family working together to scale glorious heights.
Having won the maximum number of competitions, the D. U. Beat (online newspaper of Delhi University) has declared Team Prophecy as the best College Fashion Society among the colleges of the Delhi University with 12 points. Kamla Nehru College’s Glitz came second with 6 points.

Contemporary Cleopatra’s Eviction
Cleopatra, a woman of surpassing beauty, she was one of the most powerful and richest pharaoh of Egypt. But all her good qualities were surpassed by her ego. The common man forced her to overcome her ego. Alas! The mighty queen had to bow down. Even today, the common man can make or break a nation.
The girls of Team Prophecy showcased the eviction of Cleopatra at Ritambhara 2014, the glamorous fashion show at Antaragni, the annual cultural fest of IIT Kanpur.
Being the Annual Cultural Festival of IIT Kanpur, the festival was originally known as ‘Culfest’ which was later on renamed as Antaragni in 1993. It literally means the ‘Fire Within’ being celebrative of the youthful energy and creative spirit in the college students all over the country.
