The wedding in India can be divided into three sections i.e. Pre-wedding, Wedding and Post-wedding. You have functions like Mehndi, Sangeet, Sagan, Haldi, Wedding and Reception etc.

Pre-Wedding

The pre-wedding rituals begin before the wedding date with Roka or the formal commitment of both the families towards marriage. It is followed by Sagaai (engagement), Haldi, Mehndi, Sangeet and several such customs varying from families to families.

Today Indian brides are opting for bolder designs and have abundant options to choose from – saris, lehengas, salwarkameez and shararas.

Red has been a favorite for centuries but now pink, golden, magenta, orange, peach and even yellow can be opted. Never follow any set of rules, instead create your own look and flaunt it on your wedding day.
