Protect your skin from the summer heat

With the summers almost on top, there will be a lot of people who would want to take care of their skin. Summer is generally very harsh for the skin, because of the heat and the dust. Sweat, dust and heat can do a lot of harm to the skin if it is not properly taken care of.

Here we will tell you a handful of tips, which will help to take care of your skin during the summer months.

Drink plenty of water: It goes without saying, if you want to keep your skin healthy during the summer season, you will have to keep it hydrated, and the best way to do this is by drinking lots of water. Water keeps your skin moist and soft.

Protection from sun: The sun rays are the worst between 11 am and 3 pm. Try and avoid going outdoors during this time, but somehow, if you are unable to do so, then you should apply sunscreen on your skin at least 30 minutes before going out in the sun. Suppose you have been in the sun too long, then you can apply some more sunscreen after some time.

No aerated drinks: Since it is hot there are many who go for ice-cold aerated drinks. Since these drinks contain sugar, it is advised that they are avoided, as sugar is harmful to the skin, especially during the summer season.

Wash your face:  Since there is a lot of dust, it becomes imperative for you to wash your face. You should cleanse your face at least twice a day during the summer season. It will help to keep off the dust particles. Washing your face before sleeping is also very important.

Keep the skin cool: If you are not up for an expensive face pack, then you can always make one at home. Mixing cucumber and 1 spoon of yogurt can be an effective homemade face pack.
