Tips to remain active this winter

Winter is that time of the year during which working out becomes a monumental task. You don’t feel like getting out of your bed, you don’t feel like stepping into the shower, and if you do, you don’t feel like coming out of it. It becomes more difficult for you to step and go for a run or your gym.

Here we are going to give you a few tips which will help you come out of that lethargic phase and become active.

Change your mindset – At the end, it is all about the right correct mindset. Winter isn’t just about the cold weather, it is a whole new season, and new season requires a new mindset. Revisit your goals and then plan out what you want to accomplish in the next few months. Try and reflect on your past accomplishments and the new goals. It will help you focus better.

Go outside and play – If you don’t have the energy to workout then playing a sport is a good option. You can burn a lot of calories if you play sports. The best part about playing sports is that it doesn’t feel like working out. You can get your heart rate up and have an amazing cardio session.

Take up a winter sport – If you are really a competitive type, then you can always go in for a winter sport. From skiing to snowboarding to ice-skating, there are a number of sports from which you can choose from.

Turn your home into a gym – If you are not the type who loves going to the gym during the winters, then you can always turn your home into a gym. Wondering how? Ever heard about workout CDs?

Set Goals – Big or small it doesn’t matter, just set some goals. Cross that 10km or 5km mark, which you have been thinking for some time now. Complete a pull up; just do something which forces you out of your comfort zone. Challenge yourself and complete that challenge. Just do it, don’t think too much about it.
