Top Walking Dead characters
With The Walking Dead season 6 around the corner, we are sure to find some new characters which we will like. Over the years, the series has provided us with a number of Walking Dead characters that are both liked and disliked. Here we go back to the previous season and have a look at some of the most memorable characters in the series.
Carl Grimes – As a character Carl can be irritating; the reason being that he is trying fit in the boots that are too big for his size. But, he has no other option as well. He has grown up with parents who never saw each other eye-to-eye, before the zombie apocalypse. He seems to be selfish, naïve and sometimes irresponsible. But then what else can you expect from a teenager who is growing up and surviving in the post zombie apocalypse world?

Maggie Greene – From being childish sulky and bad-tempered to a zombie ass-kicker of the highest order, Maggie Greene had an amazing transformation. Her steely personality is revealed when she saves her group from a certain horrible death at the hands of the Governer, even when she was being physically abused by her captor. This tells a lot about Maggie’s character. Her bravery is beyond her years.

Beth Greene – Started out as a minor character, but slowly the audience was exposed to her iron personality. Her emotional maturity is beyond her years. She is like a beacon of hope in the apocalyptic wasteland. They sure grow tough girls in the Greene farm.

Glenn Rhee – Underestimated by a majority of his group, Glenn Rhee is both brave and resourceful. Before the apocalypse, he used to work as a pizza delivery boy because of which he has the ability to navigate through the city with much ease. He constantly risks his life to fetch supplies for his group. He has a sense of compassion and humanity. He has a great deal of loyalty and high moral fibre.
Merle Dixon – Introduced as a character that is a racist and is not at all likeable, he comes a long way. Although, he terrorized both humans and zombies, in the end he came out good. He removed his prejudice opinions aside and almost took out the heavily armed soldiers in Woodbury.

Michonne – She is one person you do not want to make get angry. She almost single-handedly survived the zombie apocalypse. She has slaughtered many zombies and has even found innovative ways of hiding from them. Her best choice of weapon is the Katana and she also happens to be a good fighter.

Carol Peletier – Carol as a character has come a long way. From being a victim of domestic violence and losing her daughter to the walkers, she has channeled her sufferings to become a stoic. Over the period of time, she has become resourceful and ruthless and is an individual who will do anything to survive.

Daryl Dixon – Although, he gives out an impression of a lone ranger, Daryl is watchful and a selfless individual, who is willing to risk his life, if it means helping others. If there is one who will outlast those massive zombie hordes, it will be Daryl.

Rick Grimes – Although, he has his dark moments, but so far the group has survived the zombie apocalypse because of him. His level-headed leadership is the main reason why everyone is still alive. He is the de facto leader of the group.
