Renault’s first Made in India car
With 98% of its components mad in India, Renault Kwid is truly what PM Narendra Modi wanted from his Make in India campaign. Renault Kwid resonates with the Make in India campaign. Chairman and Renaults CEO Carlos Ghosn emphasized the fact that in order to be successful in India, they needed products that were made internally. A number of the car’s components have come from micro and small scale industries.
This SUVish type looking car can give a good competition to the likes of Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon. Renault Kwid will definitely provide an interesting option to the Indian consumer in this segment. Renault also aims to increase its number of outlets to 205, to provide better services to the customers. The care is expected to be launched during the festive season this year.
