Ungli Reviews.
Ungli, having released today, has received negative reviews by the critics and the audiences alike. With an unrealistic plot operating around the common-man-fighting-corruption stream, it keeps hurting you with the realisation of how much time, money and energy you spent in an effort to watch it. Even so, it is humourous to see Rensil D’Silva, who had last come up with the dud Kurbaan in 2009, making efforts to change the society through a dull and shabby script – he would be well-advised to change his scriptwriter instead.
High Hopes of the Starcast
The cast of Ungli– Emraan Hashmi, Angad Bedi, Neil Bhoopalam, Randeep Hooda- and director Rensil D’Silva called a press conference for promoting their film in New Delhi. The film was released worldwide today.
Exposing the plot of the film before media, Hashmi said that he is playing the role of Nikhil, Angad Bedi of Kalim, Neil Bhoopalam of Goti and Randeep Hooda of Abhay. He justified the title of the movie and the relevance of the plot of the film. The team also shared their experience on the shoot.
Upon being asked about the plot, Hashmi said, “This film is against corrupt politicians and governance. It highlights all issues of social importance. It may not create lot of difference, but, at least a few changes will surely occur. The punishment given to culprits in the film might seem a little inappropriate to the public, but at the end of the day it is a film and must be treated as a source of entertainment primarily. I am really happy being a part of it. I hope our audience loves the film.”
The stars promise a combination of entertainment and adventure in Ungli.
