Satya Nadella, the Indian-born CEO of Microsoft said that the company did ‘one big mistake’ and it was thinking of personal computers as the hub for all time to come. And today, of course, the high volume device is the six-inch phone. I acknowledge that. Nadella elaborates on his outlook for Microsoft, saying he doesn’t want it to be a similar device like any other or any operating system. Adding on, he said Microsoft is on a hunt for the new bend in the curve. Microsoft’s vision is not to launch a device, but to focus on unique devices. That is what I want my devices to stand for. Talking about Nokia announcement, he said that it was not about the change of company’s vision and strategy, it was about change to its operational approach.
