Indians make their mark at the Ironman Triathlon
Since the time Milind Soman has completed the Ironman Triathlon, the internet is abound with people praising him for completing the World’s toughest race within the time limit. The race involves the participant to swim 3.86 km, cycle 180.25 km and run a full marathon of 42 km and all this has to be done less than 16 hours. It is a true test for all the fitness enthusiasts, the only other races that come close to the Ironman are the RAAM (Race Across America ) and the Marathon des Sables (Ultra –Marathon in the Sahara Desert in which the participant has to run the distance of 251 km in six days).
Many people have thanked him for making India proud at an international level sports meet. What they will be surprised to know that is Milind Soman is not the first Indian to complete the race. There are four other Indians who made the country proud by completing the race and one of them has participated in the race 12 times.
Here we bring you the names of the Indians who have also completed the race in less than 16 hours.

Anand Patil
Anand Patil – The 51-year-old doctor from Pune can give runners half his age, a run for their money. He completed the Ironman Triathlon race 2015 in 15 hours 53 minutes.

Do you think somebody should post the list of all athletes who have completed the ironman till date. Btw saying that only two or three races can be compared with this , then you must have not heard of Badwater Ultra 135 which is one of the toughest foot race on this planet
