Fashion Show To Raise Cancer Awareness
A perfect evening celebration was hosted by entrepreneur Rahul Chhabra to celebrate the 7th edition of the Festival of Hope, an event that celebrates the spirit and courage of Cancer survivors. It was conceptualised by ShaliniVigWadhwa, who is a corporate professional for the last 25 years and took place at the Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. |
In the last few seasons, Festival of Hope had successfully raised funds for the Indian Cancer Society that helped them in further supporting the needy.
The event was hosted in an elaborate outdoor set-up. The designers who participated this season included AshimaLeena, ManovirajKhosla and Meera&Muzaffar Ali. AnuAhuja was the Show Director and Blossom Kochhar was the grooming partner. Around 500 of the industry’s crème de la crème attended the event.

At what point do you give up – decide enough is enough? There is only one answer really – Never! Through Festival of Hope, I want every Cancer patient to think positively that there is life after cancer. You just need to get treated on time. Remember, ‘Hope’ is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. I truly believe in that.’ As it was Children’s Day, we proposed having few kids who stood up for – Life after cancer as the Young Leaders of Hope. Shakuntalam, an NGO that supports the under privileged children, joined the event and was the beneficiary partner this season.
