Talent & Glamour at VIPS
The annual mega festival of Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), New Delhi ‘VIPS Spandan -2015’ ended with much fanfare. Multiple competitive and non-competitive events were held during the festival in which many students participated with added zeal and enthusiasm. With tons of events to offer like RJ Hunt, X Factor, Fashion Parade, Quiz, Street Play, Ad Mad and many more, Spandan gives platform to students to showcase their talent.
Abraxas Lifestyle was the media partner of the event. During the X Factor competition which managed to gather masses, students were asked to showcase their talent – it could be anything from dancing to singing, to stand up comedy and many more. The competition was adjudged by Seema Dhawan, Executive Editor of Abraxas Lifestyle and Abraxas NU magazine.

Tarz – The fashion show
Around 7 colleges were shortlisted for the finals of the fashion show – Tarz which was also judged by Seema Dhawan, Executive Editor of Abraxas Lifestyle and Abraxas NU magazine. Students from different colleges performed on various themes and social issues. Trinity College, New Delhi managed to grab the first position. They performed on the theme ‘Women empowerment across different culture of the world’.
Nikita Kapoor was crowned the Best Female Model and Lakshit Dhingra and Jatin Grover of Keshave Mahavidalya College were adjudged the Best Male models, respectively.
Arushi Chawla (Dance Competition Winner)
X-Factor – The talent show
Around 50 students from different colleges participated in the event and showcased their talent. Arushi Chawla of Sri Venkateswara College was the winner of the event. Arushi managed to vow the judge with her western contemporary dance.
