It came as a dream debut for Navdeep Chhabra as he got a chance to act alongside critically acclaimed actor Ram Kapoor and Sunny Leone – the lady who took the industry by storm in KuchKuchLochaHai. The good looking guy was all happy while interacting with the media for the first time. He said, “I was so excited to interact with the media in a press conference for the first time – though I have interacted with them in Mumbai before, but never in a press conference.”
On being asked that people will start judging him by his first movie and if he has a fear that if this movie doesn’t work, it will affect his career – he says, “I’ve been taught since childhood that whatever you give, you’ll get it back eventually. Yes, people will judge me, but I believe that if I give my 100%, then I should not worry about the outcome. Till now, whosoever saw the movie has appreciated my efforts and I have not received any negative comments about my acting skills.” Expressing his honest review about the interaction with the media, he said, “Yes, I’ve been less targeted by the journalists because there are bigger stars than me in the movie. Sunny and Ram are way bigger than me in terms of everything. If tomorrow I make it big in the industry, I’ll be the centre of attraction.” He continues, “It is a part of the package – It is just my first movie and they are in the industry for many years now.”
Though stars of the movie claim to be it a family entertainer, but the Censor Board has given it an Adult certificate. When asked about the same, Navdeep quips, “People have been asking the same question again and again, I would probably say that ask the Censor Board; we are not the right persons to ask about the same. I just want to say that it is a family comedy and not just a love story about Ram Kapoor and Sunny Leone.”
On being asked if he thinks that may be the movie has given an Adult certificate because of Sunny Leone presence in it, he clarifies, “That is completely rubbish; I should blame our society for that. Sunny is such a grounded person. Even as a new comer, she accepted me with open hands and has shown no arrogance at all may be because she also struggled a lot to make a niche for herself in the industry. Same with Ram sir, I shot my first scene with him and it was a 10 minute long scene; he was so patient, so helpful. I got really comfortable with both the stars in just a few days and later we enjoyed a lot on the set.”
On his future projects, he says, “I have two more movies lined up – details of which I cannot reveal right now. And in the future, I would love to work with DeepikaPadukone as she is a very polished actor and I would also love to work with Anushka Sharma, the way she acts is amazing.”
