Preeti Shenoy Launches Her New Book
A rainy Saturday evening in Bangalore witnessed Preeti Shenoy, the renowned author and motivational speaker launch her new book “Why We Love The Way We Do”. Preeti, who is dubbed as the only women in the highest-selling league (in India) invited two of her ardent readers and fans to unveil her new book. The event was held in The Park Hotel.
This happens to be Preeti’s seventh book and has been published by Westland Ltd. The book is basically a collection of essays on relationships. It covers topics such as dating, marriage, breakups and how to deal with it, how men and women communicate differently and extra marital affairs, etc.
At the launch, Preeti mentioned that reason to launch her first work of non-fiction is that, her readers would seek her advice on relationships and ways to deal with it. To help them and answer the questions, she compiled the select essays and the columns she had written for newspapers, into her seventh book.
Preeti talked about her childhood, her passion for writing and her journey to becoming what she is today. She said that she has been writing since childhood in school and college magazines, her blog, but decided to take it up professionally much later in life. Her second book, “Life is What You Make It” was rejected 39 times, and amazingly, it sold more than half a million copies.
